I am a woman with an exciting 'travel the world' software consulting career and as a result of my career choice I frequently travel alone. I would like to share my experiences whether they be good or bad so that other women (or anyone) traveling can use my insight and experience to enhance their own travels. I have found that some hotels and restaurants treat a woman traveling alone with a special level of service that makes it a pleasure to frequent those establishments and then there are the restaurants and hotels that try to push a woman alone out of site and ignore her and treat her like she has the plague or worse.
